How we help

Contributing to the community

During the last 50 years, we have been involved in a number of projects which have enhanced the town and helped to make it such a wonderful place to live.

We manage the Tithe Barn which has enabled this important historic building be open for the community to visit and enjoy.

Design Guide

We have written and published a free step by step guide for developers, architects builders and home owners in the town and surrounding area.

We highlight some of the key historic character and features of the architecture of the town. The aim is to encourage ‘best practice’ and to encourage good detailing in the design of new buildings within the local area.

Don’t forget to look up as you walk around - you will see interesting roof details, decoration and unexpected views.

With thanks to Jenny Dack for doing such a great job designing the map.
